The First Alpha Ubuntu 8.10 Comes with a New Theme Dark

As can be seen in this screenshot of the first Alpha Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, graphics Ubuntu developers are about to give it a twist to the classic theme of Ubuntu with a version of it that stands out for a very dark and gray tones cake. The nuances oranges are still present in the new issue, and so it is still something green, is not even sure that is going to change so drastically topic, it all depends on community acceptance.

Among the improvements that we can find in this first trial version, in addition to the new item are updates? Per day? of the applications / basic components: Kernel 2.6.26, Gnome 2.23.4, OpenOffice 2.4.1, Firefox 3 final GIMP 2.4.6, and a host of new packages / updated. It has not yet been created LiveCD, so the only way to install it through the Alternate CD or upgrading from Hardy. Try it if you want to help developers, but notice that most of the work is implemented, polishing the rough edges that arise with the new software and implement new functionalities approved.

What do you think the theme? It still has some flaws contrast, but I do not mind anything that the next item so dark outside.
