I just had a very unpleasant experience at Best Buy. Best Buy in Los Angeles sold me a DELL laptop.
I took it home and turned it on. When I did, I found the screen was very dim. So dim I could hardly read the screen.
Online I found that the particular model I bought was known to be very dim.
So I came back to Best Buy to return the laptop.
The guy at "the Geek Squad" at Best Buy was very helpful and assured me that this happens alot.
These laptops are really DIM and that even though nothing was technically wrong - like the device was not broken - he understood well why I returned it - the screen was so dim you could hardly use it at all.
Long Story Short - the polite customer service people told me that there was nothing the could do - they had to charge me a restocking fee of 15%. That came out to $120. So the fine for going to Best Buy and buying a product that itself is faulty - is wasted time and wasted money.
I would like Best Buy to contact me and refund the restocking fee. Until such time I will continue to maintain that they are an unfair company who has acted in an unfair way.
Former Best Buy Fan and now A very unhappy Best Buy Customer.
